An Introduction to Green Infrastructure Practices & Post-Development Stormwater Compliance in Georgia

While 2020 has been an eventful year, stormwater management professionals throughout Georgia must remain mindful that this is a big year for another reason- the deadline to adopt the Runoff Reduction performance standard for MS4 communities is December 2020.  Using the Georgia Stormwater Management Manual as a guide, this workshop will explain post-development stormwater run-off compliance and introduce attendees to the use of ‘green infrastructure’ practices as highly efficient structures for the management of post development stormwater run-off. Accompanied with case studies and subject matter expert guest speakers, attendees will learn proper selection criteria, construction techniques and operation and maintenance protocols. The virtual workshop agenda will consist of 6 modules, presented live in 2-hour sessions given each morning and afternoon over the course of 3 consecutive days.
