Join us for a one-day course in the fundamentals of pipeline design. This workshop is intended for contractors, design consultants, and municipal staff. Topics include:

  • Pipe Fundamentals and Design
  • Pipe Installation
  • Pipe Inspection and Evaluation
  • Advanced Box Culverts
  • Using RCP in Sanitary Sewer Applications

Training provided by the American Concrete Pipe Association.

Pipe Fundamentals and Design (1-2 hours)

This course will cover not only the fundamentals of pipe itself, but also the design of it. Every Engineer should be able to structurally design the pipe products they wish to utilize in their overall site or roadway plans. This class will cover the basics of indirect design for RCP and will introduce the attendee to several design aides and tools provided by ACPA.

Pipe Installation (1-2 hours)

A properly installed pipe should remain in service for 50 to 100 years with little or no repair. The class promotes a solid understanding of installation, specifications, design requirements and material differences for pipe systems. Empower your staff with the ability to properly inspect, design, install and accept both flexible and rigid pipe systems.

Post Installation Inspection and Evaluation (1-2 hours)

It is in the best interest of the Owner to know that all pipes in their system have been properly installed and were not damaged such that the pipe system is compromised. Post Installation Inspection (PII) provides the owner the information needed to determine whether proper installation occurred prior to project close-out or final acceptance. Evaluation techniques will be reviewed as it relates to the latest national standards, DOT regulations and manufacturer recommendations.
