What makes Green Infrastructure "green?"

Vegetation. What's one of the best indicators your green infrastructure is designed, installed, and functioning correctly? The health and performance of your planted components.

But what if the vegetation in your bioretention cell is failing? Was there a problem with the design? Did you spec the right species? Were they installed correctly? Were the engineered soils mixed correctly? Over-watered or under-watered?

If you design, construct, inspect, or maintain green infrastructure stormwater practices, you need to understand the basics of plant selection, installation, and care if you have any hope of your stormwater management practices functioning as intended. Please join us on Thursday, January 31st for Green Stormwater Infrastructure: Plant Installation, Maintenance and Inspection Practices. This will be a 1-day course brought to us by Environmental Horticulturist, Mary Ann Uhlmann.
