2016 Water Resources / Stormwater Project of Excellence Award
Entries must have been
implemented within the last 5 years and owned/designed by a Corporate or Utility Member of
GAWP. Projects of non GAWP members must be nominated by a GAWP Utility or Corporate member.
Nominations will be judged based on the degree of
innovation, positive impacts to water quality, aquatic habitat or flood
control, public involvement/ education, and any other benefits to the

Attach a project description of no more than 6 typed, single-spaced, 8½ x 11 pages,
minimum 11-point font.

graphics, photos, or supporting documentation such as associated public
outreach materials may be included and will not be counted as part of the six
pages. If your project has been tested
and has quantifiable water quality benefits, a summary of this data should be
provided as supplementation information.
The winning project will be judged by a panel of
GAWP members in each of the following categories:
- Benefits provided
to water quality, habitat or flood control. (30 possible points)
- Use of innovative techniques (20 possible points)
- Public involvement or education component (20 possible points)
- Multi-objective or multi-use project (20 possible points)
- Implementation of the project had to overcome unique challenges –
regulatory, public opinion, physical, etc. (10 possible points)
