How to Market the Cost Effectiveness of Water to Your Customers

Join us to hear about the value of water and the challenges utilities are facing trying to promote and market the cost effectiveness of tap water to their customers.  Speakers will discuss and identify some strategies that utilities have used to improve their image and educate the public on the benefits and cost effectiveness of tap water.

Moderated by Bill Zieburtz, Burton & Associates, Inc.

With speaker Melanie Hughes Goetz, MBA

President, Hughes & Stuart

Melanie is a marketing strategist and senior public relations account executive who has spent more than 30 years helping public utilities of all sizes achieve consumer acceptance of rate changes, measurable water efficiency results, and proactive media relations.  Reputation management and tactical marketing expertise extends to brand awareness image campaigns, public relations, community public outreach, education, press relations, and customer service improvements.  Melanie facilitates a very hands-on, grassroots approach, encouraging a healthy, proactive working relationship between service or product providers and their stakeholders. “We intersect the many places people live and work to bring mutual issues of concern into a timely and topical conversation that creates desirable outcomes. Excellent customer service today is not an option for any organization that hopes to uphold a positive public image."
